A serious accident took place on Saturday morning near Kankroli in Rajasthan’s Rajsamand district. A bus going from Ahmedabad to Bhilwara overturned, killing 3 people and injuring more than 20. Two of the injured are in very critical condition.
As per the first reports, the accident happened around 8:30 AM. The driver of the bus is believed to have fallen asleep while driving. The bus was speeding and went off the road before falling into a ditch.
People living nearby and the police quickly reached the spot and helped rescue the passengers. All injured persons were taken to a nearby hospital. Two seriously injured passengers were sent to Udaipur for better treatment.
The police have filed a case of negligence against the bus driver and the private bus company. The investigation to find out the exact reason for the accident is still going on.
Sadly, this is the second bus accident in the same area within a month. Just a few weeks ago, on April 16, another bus accident near Majera village in the Delwara area of Rajsamand left 37 people injured.
